Change of Plans!

I decided to start a new blog about all the stuff that keeps my folks lurking on my site. It'll be private, and I'll be moving all the appropriate posts over there. The reason for this is I want to keep the two fields separate, so I can still have a day-to-day blog that's public, but a different one for all the other stuff. I'm in the process of talking to a few graphics designers to get set up, should take about a week or so. I'll post a link, but you'll have to email me for an invite. As I understand, you can only use Gmail.

This way, it gets rid of the usual prying eyes and preserves the last two years of work. They obviously wouldn't have a reason to be on here anymore, so it'll just work itself out :)

The new address will be: BaD KarmA: Family Business

Blog Will Be Invite Only Permanently 7/10/09

EDIT: Obsolete Post, moved to new blog instead.

The whole idea of having two people (My dad and his dad) hawking and trolling over my site, disapproving then threatening to "sue" me whenever I write something that either of them don't want published is just really getting the best of me. Your days of peering over my shoulder are over, I promise. Looks like a certain two people have to find a new hobby come this Friday. It's for your own good, obsession and manipulation is never healthy ;) You'll thank me eventually.

I do not believe in censorship and I fully respect having the first amendment that guarantees free speech to all, but at the same time having an audience of people to come by and cry foul whenever something offends them is just not in my best interest. I originally got into journalism and writing to do exactly that: Write. About anything I choose. Anyone who lives in America and does not respect the constitution should move to a third world country where you have no rights, as they say you can't have your cake and eat it too.

I'll say this too: You don't have the right to not be offended. This applies to everyone. This is the cost of free speech, everyone who lives in a civilized country can either choose to accept it or attempt to oppress those who do. In my case, it was a bunch of unfit, intolerant family members who should probably get a life and stop taking a morbid curiosity in seeing if they've been "outed". I have the right to say what I want and I won't let trash like you bully me around anymore. Forget it.

Send me an email if you want to be on the invite list. It has to be Gmail, and you have to tell me where you know me from (Digg/Blog Catalog/Etc) Send a reference link. I promise you won't be disappointed. Send an email to Riverstyxxx [at] gmail.com And by the way, Anonymous commenting is allowed again for a while, in case anyone has anything to add.

My phone number is being changed, email blocklists are being updated. I've had enough, you haven't won but you have drove one journalist back to the stone-age of the third reich, and as Ralph Waldo once said: "Every burned book enlightens the world".

One final note - I wrote a book about a year back, but the project was scrapped and the copy was deleted. I think I'll be spending a considerable amount of time working on a new version, as the first copies received good reviews by the select few who were able to read it. I have a lot of new ideas to add too.
